Beirut Urban Ruins

by Maha Nasrallah

Maha Nasrallah has been compulsively making watercolor sketches of abandoned houses since mid 2016. She concentrates on houses that are usually “invisible” to the passerby, singling them out from their surroundings and bringing them to the light “as remainder and reminder of the old urban fabric of Beirut”. Discover a collection of 40 different reproductions of some of her original sketches covering the districts of Clemenceau, Hamra, Rass Beirut & Manara.
