Parc des Pins [OUT OF PRINTS]

“Every sunday, men, young and old, rich and poor, from here and there, gather to bet.

Which animal will be the fastest, the strongest, which will be the winning number?

At the Beirut Hippodrome, at the heart of the city, what was once the demarcation line is now the meeting point of three communities that border it.

These men say that if they win, they will go live in Rio or Miami.

Yet every Sunday, they come back. “
